Violet Evergarden Side Story Reveals Key Visual!
Violet Evergarden Gaiden: Eternity and the Auto Memories Doll, a side story to the main anime, has released a key visual ahead of its Sept. 6 release. A Kyoto Animation work directed by Fujita Haruka, it will be screening for three weeks only at 73 cinemas across Japan, a week longer than originally planned. Netflix Produces Live-Action Alice in Borderland Series
Netflix revealed on Wednesday that it will release a live-action series adaptation of Haro Aso's Alice in Borderland (Imawa no Kuni no Alice) manga in 2020. Shinsuke Satō (live-action Bleach, Kingdom films; Oblivion Island anime film) is directing the series, and Yoshiki Watabe and Yasuko Kuramitsu are penning the scripts with Satō.
Lupin III Gets First 3DCG Anime Movie
Classic manga Lupin III is heading back to the big screen with its very first 3DCG movie from Dec. 6! Titled Lupin III The First, the movie is directed by Stand by Me Doraemon's Yamazaki Takashi, and is the first installment in the franchise to be released after author Monkey Punch's death.
